The 20th edition of the Mitreo Film Festival (MFF) in Italy has been screening Iranian animation ‘Bowl, Paper, Fish’.

The 6-minute animation, written and directed by Amir-Shahab Mehdizadeh, narrates the story of two very young vendors who sell their goods alongside the beach.

One of them sells fish in plastic bags and the other sells paintings of free fishes in the sea.

The short animation was previously screened at the 2020 Make Art Not War festival in the US and the 2020 Festival Film Bahari in Indonesia.

The MFF hosts short films up to 10 minutes with the theme of youth.
